Bomb Explodes Right Near Anderson Cooper During Live Report From Gaza
Anderson Cooper was reporting live from Gaza on Sunday night, when he had a close call with the conflict that's escalating in the region. In the midst of his report, a large explosion went off nearby.
Cooper instinctively ducked, remarking, "That was a rather large explosion" a few seconds later. "That was probably the largest explosion that we've heard just in the past, really in the past hour," he added. "There have been a number explosions in the last hour or two."
Without skipping a beat, Cooper continued to offer information on the situation.

I played BO2 for 4 hours, my last game I found a hacker that was aimbotting. I recorded the gameplay and you can clearly see in the killcam him aimbotting. I put those parts in a video, commentated over it saying that I found a hacker, he is clearly hacking and he needs to be banned. Instead, as soon as the video got popularity and started being passed around, it was quickly taken down by Activision and I got a strike on my account. A strike on a innocent account for trying to help Black Ops 2 and reporting the hacker, just so they dont have "bad" image for having a hacker in the first 24 hours of the game release? That seems unfair.

You know how, outside car yard sales, they'll have those big inflatable stick figure people who flap around? Well, right towards the end of Brisbane Supanova 2012, I ran into this guy. He had *everyone* in stitches. :D

LIFE HACKS -- 6 Ways to Open a Bottle without an opener
Quick and Simple Life Hacks -- Beer Edition. We will show you 6 ways to open a bottle just in case you lost your opener.
1. How to open a beer with a Counter Top - Place the seam of the cap along a hard edge that don't be damaged and give the bottle a hard tap right on top.
2. How to open a beer with a key - Take your car key and pop out 3 or 4 prongs in the cap twisting each time and then push up.
3. Open beer with another bottle - Flip another bottle upside down and connect the caps at the seam, leverage the upside bottle over your hand and open it.
4. Open beer with a dollar bill or paper - Take some currency and fold it over several times until its hard to bend. Then grab your bottle and place the bill under the lip of the cap. Using your knuckle as leverage pop that sucker off and make it rain.
5. Open a bottle with a drawer - Place the bottle under the lip of a handle and simply pull down in a fast motion.

A purposeful change in the SET, PROPS, or WARDROBE.
WHAT DOES NOT COUNT?
1. Any changes in CHOREOGRAPHY are NOT differences.
Specifically, body positioning ("after he's knocked out, his legs/head/mouth etc. are different") or timing of body movements (she grabs the cane slightly later in one performance) do not count as differences.
There are only TWO exceptions to this guideline, and here are some hints: (1) in one scene, one character is singing on one side but not singing at all on the other, and (2) a box opens during a performance on one side but not the other.
2. Also, A SLIGHT REPOSITIONING of the same item is NOT a difference.
For example, the exact way a bedspread or curtain is positioned, or the exact orientation of the same toy truck, or the way the same jacket is lying on the floor-- these are not differences. If the same teddy bear slightly changes positions, that is not a difference. But, if the same teddy bear is wearing a shirt only on one side, that is a difference. A difference counts when you can discern a purposeful alteration. If a picture or object is slightly moved, that is not a difference. If a picture or object is discernibly rotated, that IS a difference.

Aliens Power Loader Baby Costume - Halloween 2012
My Daughter and I went to a Halloween Party dressed as the Power Loader from "Aliens." I love Halloween, and I wanted to create a costume that my daughter and I could share. She was amazingly content the whole night, and enjoyed looking at everybody else's costumes!
I built this robot suit in two nights and a day out of cardboard boxes and hot glue. My baby girl rides comfortably in a Baby Bjorn with the roll cage protecting her. The entire costume only weighs about ten pounds, plus baby.
My highest priority was keeping my little girl safe, so the costume was designed for mobility and quick exit in case of emergency. The boots are basically cardboard slippers that could pop right off. With a shrug of my shoulders, I could pop the arms right off. What you can't see from the video is that there are no bottoms on the robot arms, so my human arms were completely free and unimpeded. I could leave the claws hanging idle from the shoulder joints while I could address any of my girl's needs. I would have had to take the suit off to changer her diaper, though!

Rescue of HMS Bounty during Hurricane Sandy
PORTSMOUTH, Va. — The Coast Guard rescued 14 people from life rafts in the Atlantic Ocean approximately 90 miles southeast of Hatteras N.C., Monday, and two remain missing.
The 14 people were flown to Coast Guard Air Station Elizabeth City, N.C., where they were met by awaiting emergency medical services personnel at approximately 10:15 a.m. with no life threatening injuries.
Crews aboard a C-130 Hercules and an MH-60 Jayhawk are searching for the two missing crewmembers. Crews aboard the Coast Guard Cutter Elm and the Coast Guard Cutter Gallatin are en route to assist with the search.
The vessel is reportedly sunk, but the mast is still visible.
Coast Guard Sector North Carolina initially received a call from the owner of the 180-foot, three mast tall ship, HMS Bounty, saying she had lost communication with the vessel's crew late Sunday evening.
The Coast Guard 5th District command center in Portsmouth subsequently received a signal from the emergency position indicating radio beacon registered to the Bounty, confirming the distress and position.
An aircrew from Coast Guard Air Station Elizabeth City launched aboard an HC-130 Hercules aircraft, which later arrived on scene and established communications with the Bounty's crew.
Watchstanders dispatched crews aboard two MH-60 Jayhawk helicopters crew from Coast Guard Air Station Elizabeth City.
The first Jayhawk crew arrived on scene at approximately 6:30 a.m. and hoisted five people into the aircraft, and a second helicopter arrived and rescued nine people.
The 16 people donned cold water survival suits and life jackets before launching in two 25-man lifeboats with canopies.
The vessel was reportedly taking on water and without propulsion. On scene weather was reported to be 40 mph winds and 18-foot seas.

Even if you disagree with Jennifer Livingston, no one, I repeat NO ONE is entitled to call her any disgusting names regarding her looking! It's really a shame that something that started as a decent discussion turned into a mud fight. However it's great that my video upload made at least some of you reflect the still underrated issue of Bullying in the world and even though I'm located in Germany, I'd be thrilled if Ellen would invite Jennifer Livingston to her show (which I love by the way, both, Ellen and her awesome show!). WKBT anchor Jennifer Livingston took a moment during Tuesday's morning newscast (Oct. 2, 2012) to directly address a recent email she received from a viewer complaining about her weight.
"To the person who wrote me that letter — do you think I don't know that? That your cruel words are pointing out something that I don't see?" Livingston asked in response. "You don't know me. You are not a friend of mine. You are not a part of my family. And you have admitted that you don't watch this show. So you know nothing about me but what you see on the outside. And I am much more than a number on the scale."
Livingston went on to say that October is National Anti Bullying Month, and that she hopes her response to the email will serve to raise awareness of bullying behavior, which is "passed down from people like the man who wrote me that email."
"If you are at home and talking about the fat news lady, guess what? Your children are probably going to go to school and call someone fat," Livingston said.
Livingston thanked friends, family and colleagues, saying, "I will never be able to thank you enough for your words of support, and for taking a stand against this bully. We are better than that email. We are better than the bullies that will try to take us down."

The final animation is sort of an encore of 2 previous popular animations. There was pacman and there was the gun. So I combined them. Pacman eating the bullets from the gun.
Below are links to the images found in this video so you can print them out and try it yourself. You'll have to print the template onto a transparency. If you have an ink jet printer you have to use a special transparency made specifically for ink jet printers. When you print the images and the template make sure to print them all at the same size
if any of the sizes change the effect will not work.

NASA | Magnificent Eruption in Full HD
On August 31, 2012 a long filament of solar material that had been hovering in the sun's atmosphere, the corona, erupted out into space at 4:36 p.m. EDT. The coronal mass ejection, or CME, traveled away from the sun at over 900 miles per second. This movie shows the ejection from a variety of viewpoints as captured by NASA's Solar Dynamics Observatory (SDO), NASA's Solar Terrestrial Relations Observatory (STEREO), and the joint ESA/NASA Solar Heliospheric Observatory (SOHO).

It has a strong cult following, even though it presents incredible challenges to its readers; including a giant cast of characters, huge walls of text, and animated flash games that you must beat in order to continue. In in its own weird way, Homestuck is a lot like James Joyce's Ulysses, where only the strongest, most dedicated readers make it through to the end. Most people don't expect such expansive and daunting works to find a home on the internet, but Homestuck has done it, illustrating that its followers' time and effort may actually enhance rather than lessen their devotion.

Cheetah Robot runs 28.3 mph; a bit faster than Usain Bolt
Cheetah Robot is a fast-running quadruped developed by Boston Dynamics with funding from DARPA. It just blazed past its previous speed record, getting up to 28.3 mph, about 0.5 mph faster than Usain Bolt's fastest 20 meter split. This version of the Cheetah Robot runs on a treadmill with offboard power. Testing on an untethered outdoor version starts early next year. Savanna Cheetah Cub and Puppy Max Play - Cincinnati Zoo
Savanna, the cheetah cub and Max, her new puppy playmate have some fun in the small yard at the Zoo's Cheetah Encounter. The two will grow up together as Max provides a fun play partner. Dogs and cheetahs are very similar, the two will bond and as the two of them grow up they will be friends. The Zoo has several pairs of cheetahs and dogs.

NASA TV Capture of MSL Curiosity Rover Landing on Mars
This is a screen capture of the 6 minutes before and after the NASA MSL Curiosity rover landed on Mars. The entire mission control room bursts into cheers around time 5:30 upon confirmation of landing and the first images from Mars arrive around time 7:30.
Alongside the NASA TV stream, I'm running the Eyes on the Solar System computer simulation (http://eyes.jpl.nasa.gov/) which was using live telemetry data from the spacecraft to show what was happening in near real-time. All of this was captured on my laptop in Australia using the ScreenFlow app, streaming the event over the 3G connection from my iPhone.

Evan's Lightning McQueen
At the age of 2 Evan received his Lightning McQueen Powerwheel for christmas of 2009. After three years of use he had worn through the plastic wheels. We decided to upgrade the oem plastic wheels to metal rims with rubber tires. From that point more modifications were added every few weeks. Now, Evans Lightning McQueen Powerwheel is equipped with an aluminum back half chassis, dual sealed gel batteries with an output of 24 volts, a 500 watt .66 horsepower electric motor, disk brake, throttle modulated variable speed control with reverse and sparco battery cut off switch.
We chose the song "Real Gone" by Sheryl Crow because it was the opening song of the Disney movie "Cars"

I was walking around Soho, NYC today when I stumbled upon this Ferrari 458 Spider with a cop writing a ticket next to it. I started to record the situation because I thought it'd make a cool video, little did I know what I was in for. As soon as I started recording the owner of the car appeared and got in it. He slowly started moving since he refused to accept the ticket (the car was parked in a hotels valet zone and the hotel valet had the keys, I myself don't understand why the cop was giving him the ticket, it was approved by the hotel that the car was parked there.) The cop then told him to stop but he proceeded to move forward. Now at this point I believe the cops foot was under the front drivers side tire. Yet again the owner moved the car forward and apparently he somewhat ran over the cops foot (or at least that's what can be made out from everything in the video, others at the scene claimed otherwise.) This triggered the cop and he slammed his hand into the drivers window and proceed to open the door (notice how many times he bumped it into the taxi cab) and pull the driver out forcefully. The driver was then thrown on the ground and handcuffed and arrested. The owners girlfriend seen in the video is also Stephanie Pratt from the MTV hit show, The Hills. The car did suffer some damage, paint chips on the door from when the cop slammed it into the cab and some scuffs by the engine bay shown in the last scene of this video. Pretty crazy situation, I was definitely at the right place at the right time!

Baby saved by McDonald's staff after choking
A one-year-old has been saved by McDonald's staff at a Sydney restaurant after she stopped breathing for nearly three minutes.
CCTV footage and emergency calls aired on Channel Nine's A Current Affair show panic unfolding as staff and customers attempted to get Sydney girl Nevaeh breathing after she choked on a chip.

Guwahati 15 men molest minor girl, police arrest only 3
A teenaged girl was pulled by her hair, lifted up, thrown down, beaten up, thrashed, molested, groped, slapped and stripped in full public view for 30 minutes on Monday night at a busy road near the Christian Basti area in Guwahati by a mob of around 15 men. The girl was returning home after a party at a city bar. While the Assam Police has identified seven men from the video footage that has gone viral on the Internet, it has only managed to arrest three so far.What will it take for the authorities to wake up and stem the rising incidents of heinous crime against women?
